PRESS RELEASE: Clean Diesel Technologies Changes Name to CDTi
VENTURA — Diesel particulate filter manufacturer Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc., has shortened its name to CDTi—which is the same as its trading symbol on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
CDTi makes and markets heavy duty diesels and light duty vehicle emissions control systems and products to automakers and retrofitters. The company operates in two segments: heavy duty diesel systems division and catalyst division. The heavy duty diesel systems division specializes in the design and manufacture of CARB verified exhaust emissions control solutions.
Its catalyst division produces catalyst formulations to reduce emissions from gasoline, diesel and natural gas combustion engines. The catalyst technologies include mixed phase catalyst under the Platinum Plus and ARIS brand names.
CDTi is headquartered in Ventura and currently has operations in the U.S., Canada, U.K., France, Japan and Sweden. Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. will remain as the legal name.
“We have been operating for some time under multiple names, including those of our subsidiaries Engine Control Systems and Catalytic Solutions,” said Craig Breese, chief executive officer.
“Simplifying our name to CDTi formalizes a shift in corporate strategy that has been underway to integrate the diverse pieces of our business and to operate as one company.”
Breese said the name change will help in the company’s branding efforts.
